About the Course

Psychological Safety 101 is a foundational course — and a thorough one. Across 9 chapters and 19 lessons, you'll move from the basics of what psychological safety is and why it matters, through to the evidence base, the everyday behaviours that shape it, and practical tools for building (and rebuilding) it in real teams. Learning happens through a mix of video, written content, reflection prompts, quizzes and discussion — so there are plenty of opportunities to apply the learning to your own context as you go. This course distils everything we think matters most — built from years of doing this work, not just studying it. It's designed to give you a solid foundation that you can build on, whether that's through further study, a live workshop with us, or simply bringing these ideas into your work.

Meet Your Educators

We're Jade Garratt and Tom Geraghty, co-founders of psychsafety.com, and we've spent years working with teams, leaders and organisations on psychological safety as well as writing about it. We design and facilitate workshops, develop training programmes and support organisations through culture change. A large part of what we do is train other facilitators and practitioners — so the thinking in this course has been tested, challenged and refined across a lot of real workplaces, with a lot of real people. This course brings together everything we'd want someone to know before going deeper.
